In an emergency, call 119
If you or someone else may be in danger, do not use this site to find help. In Japan:
- Call 119 for an ambulance or the fire service. You can ask for English; many areas can connect you to an interpreter.
- Call 110 for the police.
- If you are not sure whether you need an ambulance, many prefectures have a medical advice line on #7119 (not available everywhere).
Check details with the clinic
Listings are compiled from public sources and summarised with the help of AI tools. Opening hours, doctors, fees, accepted insurance, services and the level of English support can change at any time and may be wrong or out of date. English support often depends on which doctor or staff member is working that day.
Before you visit, contact the clinic or hospital directly to confirm that it is open, that it offers the care you need, and that someone can help you in English.
