Waizu Shika

Waizu Shika is a dental clinic in Hachioji, the sprawling city on Tokyo’s western edge — technically Tokyo, but about an hour from the center. It’s located in a building called Shュタール (Shtahl), in the Nishikatakura neighborhood, which is a residential area rather than a busy commercial strip. The clinic has some English content on its website, which is a decent sign, but whether that translates to actual English-speaking staff at the front desk or in the chair is genuinely unclear. Don’t assume you’ll be able to have a full conversation in English without preparation. That said, dental visits have a relatively low language barrier compared to, say, internal medicine — pointing at a tooth goes a long way. If you’re based in Hachioji or western Tokyo and need a local dentist, this is worth a call to check the current English situation before booking.
