TOMONARI Clinic is a neighborhood internal medicine clinic tucked into residential Meguro, a few minutes from Meguro Station. It handles the everyday stuff — colds, chronic conditions, checkups, referrals — that expats need sorted without a trip to a big hospital.

The clinic has some English content on its website, which is a decent sign, but don’t assume you’ll walk in and have a fully bilingual experience. The reality is probably somewhere in the middle: staff who can manage basic English, a doctor who may have functional medical English, and a Google Translate gap-fill for anything complicated. Call ahead or email before your first visit to test the waters.

It’s a small, local clinic. That means shorter waits than a hospital, a doctor who actually talks to you, and none of the bewildering department-shuffling of bigger facilities. Good for general health concerns. Not the place for complex specialist care — but it can point you in the right direction.
