Tazoe Shikaiin is a neighborhood dental clinic in Ishigamii-cho, Nerima — a residential part of northwest Tokyo that most expats don’t end up in unless they actually live there. It’s a general dentistry practice covering the usual range: cleanings, fillings, crowns, orthodontics. The clinic has some English-language content on its website, which suggests they’ve thought about international patients at least a little. Whether that translates to an English-speaking staff member at reception on any given day is genuinely unclear. If you live in Nerima and need a local dentist without trekking to central Tokyo, this is worth a call. Bring a translation app as backup. Japanese dental clinics at this level tend to be thorough and reasonably priced under national health insurance. Don’t expect a bilingual consultation, but don’t assume zero English either — the reality is probably somewhere in the middle.
