TAKARABE Shika iin
TAKARABE Shika iin is a dental clinic on the third floor of Kuramae Sanyo Building in Kameidō, Koto Ward — a residential part of east Tokyo that doesn’t see a ton of expat foot traffic. The clinic covers standard dentistry: cleanings, fillings, crowns, that kind of thing. Their website has some English-language content, which is a decent sign, but it’s not clear whether that translates to actual English-speaking staff at the front desk or during consultations. Don’t assume you’ll walk in and have a smooth English conversation — bring a translation app or a Japanese-speaking friend if your Japanese isn’t solid. That said, the effort to put English online suggests they’re at least aware that international patients exist. Kameidō is accessible from JR Sōbu Line or the Tōkyō Metro Tōzai Line. Not the most central location for most expats, but perfectly fine if you live or work in east Tokyo.
Patient Feedback
Patient feedback is limited in English-language spaces, so it’s hard to build a clear picture. The clinic appears to run a standard neighborhood dental practice — routine care, scheduled appointments, nothing flashy. Japanese-speaking patients in the area seem to find it reliable for regular checkups and basic procedures. Wait times and chair-side manner aren’t well documented from an expat perspective. Go in with realistic expectations for a local dental office, not an international clinic.
