Sonodadaisan Byoin

Sonodadaisan Byoin (苑田第三病院) is a mid-sized internal medicine hospital run by the Sonodakai medical corporation, sitting in Adachi — one of Tokyo’s more residential, less touristy wards in the northeast. This isn’t a clinic built around expat patients. It’s a neighborhood hospital doing the everyday work of internal medicine: chronic disease management, general checkups, referrals. The website has some English-facing content, which is a decent signal, but don’t assume you’ll walk in and get fluent English service at every desk. Adachi isn’t Minato or Shinjuku — you’re not in expat-central here. That said, if you live in the area and need solid internal medicine without trekking across Tokyo, this is worth knowing about. Bring a translation app, have your insurance card ready, and if you have complex medical history, consider writing key points in Japanese beforehand.
