It’s a neighborhood clinic, not a big hospital, so expect a more personal, lower-volume feel than you’d get at a major Tokyo medical center.

The doctor has conversational English, which takes a lot of pressure off routine visits. You’re not going to need to mime your symptoms or lean on Google Translate for every sentence. That said, this is still a Japanese clinic at its core — paperwork is mostly in Japanese, and complex medical conversations will have limits.
