SEKIDO CLINIC

Sekido Clinic is a small internal medicine practice tucked into the second floor of the Sekido Building in Nishi-Asakusa, Taito Ward — a quieter residential pocket just west of the tourist chaos of Asakusa proper. It handles the everyday internal medicine stuff: colds, chronic conditions, checkups, referrals.

The clinic has some English content on its website, which is a better sign than nothing, but don’t assume you’ll walk in and have a smooth English conversation at the front desk. This is a neighborhood clinic serving a Japanese-speaking patient base. If your Japanese is limited, bring a translation app or a bilingual friend. That said, the area has a decent expat presence, and the clinic’s web presence suggests at least some awareness of non-Japanese patients.

Good for: routine care, managing ongoing conditions, getting a referral into the Japanese hospital system. Not the place to go if you need complex English-language hand-holding through a diagnosis.
