Seipauro Byoin

Seipauro Byoin (聖パウロ病院) is a full hospital run by the Komatsukai medical corporation in Hachioji, the sprawling city on Tokyo’s western edge. It’s a genuine hospital, not a small clinic, so expect the infrastructure that comes with that — multiple departments, inpatient capacity, the works. The internal medicine department handles the usual range: checkups, chronic disease management, lifestyle-related conditions.

Hachioji is far out on the Chuo Line, about an hour from Shinjuku, and the hospital sits in a residential area rather than near the main station. You’ll likely need a bus or taxi from Hachioji Station. The website has some English-facing content, but don’t assume that means English-speaking staff are waiting at reception. This is a community hospital serving a largely Japanese-speaking area. Come prepared with a translation app, written notes in Japanese, or a Japanese-speaking friend if you can manage it.
