Otsubo Pediatrics is a small neighborhood pediatric clinic in Adachi Ward, one of Tokyo’s more residential, less expat-dense areas. It handles the usual range of kids’ health needs — checkups, sick visits, vaccinations, developmental concerns. The clinic has some English content on its website, which is a decent sign, but that doesn’t guarantee smooth English communication once you’re actually standing at the reception desk. Adachi isn’t a hub for international families, so this clinic probably isn’t built around foreign patients the way some central Tokyo clinics are. That said, if you live in the area, it’s your most practical local option for pediatric care. Bring a translation app, have your child’s health record info ready in Japanese if possible, and don’t expect bilingual staff as a given. The doctor appears to run a solo practice, which typically means more consistent care but potentially longer waits during busy seasons.
