Okusawa Shikaiin

Okusawa Shikaiin is a neighborhood dental clinic tucked into a residential stretch of Setagaya, one of Tokyo’s quieter western wards. It’s the kind of place locals have probably been going to for years — small, familiar, not flashy. The clinic has some English content on its website, which is a decent sign, but don’t count on smooth English communication at the front desk. Japanese dental care is generally excellent and thorough, and this clinic fits that mold. If you need routine work — cleanings, fillings, a checkup — this is a solid local option. Just bring a translation app or a Japanese-speaking friend if your Japanese isn’t up to discussing dental history. Okusawa Station (Tokyu Oimachi Line) is the closest access point, keeping this very much a neighborhood clinic rather than an expat-oriented one.
