Nishitoyama Clinic sits on the second floor of the Hara Building in Hyakunincho, a quiet residential pocket of Shinjuku that most expats walk through without stopping. Internal medicine here covers the everyday stuff — colds, chronic conditions, checkups, referrals. The clinic has some English-language presence online, but don’t book expecting a bilingual receptionist to be waiting for you. Real-world English capability is unconfirmed, so bring a translation app, a Japanese-speaking friend, or at minimum your symptoms written down in Japanese. That said, Hyakunincho is close to Shin-Okubo Station, which means it’s genuinely accessible from central Tokyo. This is a neighborhood clinic — not a foreigner-focused international hospital. If you need straightforward internal medicine and you’re comfortable navigating with limited language support, it’s worth knowing about.
