Nihonbashihakunaishou Kurinikku is a dedicated cataract clinic sitting on the 3rd floor of the Ukiyokoji Sembikiya Building in Nihonbashi, one of Tokyo’s more polished central neighborhoods. The focus here is narrow and intentional — this is not a general eye clinic doing a bit of everything. The clinic has some English content on their website, which is a decent sign, but that doesn’t automatically mean you’ll get a fluent English speaker at reception or in the exam room. Chuo ward attracts international business types, so staff may have basic English, but bring a translation app or a Japanese-speaking friend if your case is complex. For routine consultations or pre-surgery assessments, you can probably manage with patience and some phone translation. For anything involving surgical decisions, you want to be absolutely sure you understand what’s being recommended — don’t wing it.
