Moriuchi Shonika

Moriuchi Shonika is a pediatric clinic on the second floor of Minami-Narase Medical Village in Machida, one of Tokyo’s quieter residential wards out toward Kanagawa. It’s a dedicated kids’ clinic — nothing else, no adult patients in the mix — which tends to mean shorter waits and staff who are genuinely used to anxious parents rather than just tolerating them.

The clinic has conversational English capability, so you’re not walking in completely blind if your Japanese is limited. That said, this isn’t a fully bilingual setup — think “can handle basic questions and explain what the doctor said” rather than “full consultation in English.” They also have some English resources available, which helps when you’re trying to understand a diagnosis or prescription at 8pm with a feverish toddler.

It’s in a medical complex, so parking and accessibility are generally reasonable. For expat families living in or around Machida and the Minami-Narase area, this is a solid neighborhood option that won’t leave you completely stranded language-wise.
