Momo Shika
Momo Shika is a neighborhood dental clinic tucked into a residential part of Ota Ward, sitting inside what appears to be a small apartment-style building on a quiet street. The clinic covers standard dental work — cleanings, fillings, extractions, orthodontics — the kind of place locals have been going to for years rather than a flashy international clinic.
The website has some English content, which is a decent sign, but don’t assume you’ll walk in and have a fluent English conversation. This is still very much a Japanese-language clinic. If your Japanese is limited, bring a translation app and write down your symptoms beforehand. That said, Ota Ward has a significant international population, so the staff have likely seen non-Japanese patients before.
Not a clinic you’d travel across Tokyo for, but if you live in southern Tokyo — Senzoku, Yukigaya, Nishi-Magome area — it’s a reasonable local option for routine dental care without trekking to a specialist international clinic.
Patient Feedback
Patient feedback points to a calm, unhurried clinic with thorough explanations — at least for Japanese speakers. Appointments tend to run on time. The space is small and quiet, more neighborhood clinic than busy urban practice. Patients seem to appreciate that the dentist doesn’t rush through appointments. Not much public feedback from English-speaking patients specifically, so that experience is harder to gauge.
English Language Proficiency
For translating forms, prescriptions, or discharge summaries, Jozu is worth having on your phone.
