Miyake Iin

Miyake Iin is a small neighborhood internal medicine clinic in Komagome, Toshima — the kind of place locals have been going to for years. It handles the everyday stuff: checkups, chronic condition management, colds, fatigue, referrals. The website has some English-language content, which is a decent sign, but don’t assume you’ll walk in and have a smooth English consultation. This is almost certainly a Japanese-first clinic. If your Japanese is basic or nonexistent, bring a translation app, a bilingual friend, or write out your symptoms beforehand. That said, Komagome is easy to reach on both the JR Yamanote Line and Tokyo Metro Namboku Line, so getting there isn’t the problem — communication is the variable. Good fit for expats with some Japanese ability or those comfortable using digital translation tools for routine care.
