Lakusi Ganka

Lakusi Ganka (楽視眼科) is an ophthalmology clinic tucked into the first floor of the Takeda Seika Building in Asakusa, Taito Ward. It’s a neighborhood eye clinic doing the everyday stuff — vision checks, glasses and contact lens prescriptions, dry eye treatment, eye disease management. The Asakusa area is well-trodden expat territory, which helps context-wise, but the clinic itself is small and Japanese-run.

Their website has some English content, which suggests they’re at least aware that non-Japanese patients exist. Whether that translates to smooth English communication at the front desk is genuinely unclear. A translation app is probably a smart backup. Don’t walk in expecting a bilingual consultation — but don’t assume it’s impossible either. For routine eye care like getting a contact prescription or checking on irritated eyes, this kind of local clinic is often faster and cheaper than hunting down a major international hospital.
