This is not your regular pediatric clinic — it’s specifically set up for urgent care outside normal hours. The name says it all: 休日 (holidays), 準夜 (late evening), 急患 (emergency patients). It operates out of the Machida City Health and Welfare Hall in Machida, a suburban city in the southwest corner of Tokyo. If your kid spikes a fever on a Sunday night or a national holiday, this is the kind of place the local medical system has designated to absorb that overflow.

English capability is genuinely unclear. The parent organization (Machida Medical Association) has some English-facing content online, but that doesn’t mean the doctors or front desk staff here are equipped for a full English consultation. Bring a translation app, have your child’s symptoms written down in Japanese if possible, and don’t expect bilingual forms. That said, pediatric urgent care tends to be more gesture-friendly than other specialties — showing where it hurts goes a long way.

This is a public-service-style clinic, not a private expat-focused practice. It exists because kids get sick at inconvenient times.
