KOIDE Clinic

KOIDE Clinic is a small internal medicine practice tucked into a residential stretch of Tabata, in Tokyo’s Kita Ward — not the most expat-heavy corner of the city, but genuinely accessible from Tabata Station on the JR Yamanote Line. It handles the everyday stuff: colds, fatigue, chronic condition management, blood pressure, that vague “something feels off” category that keeps getting pushed down the to-do list.

The clinic has some English on its website, which is a decent sign — it suggests they’re at least aware that non-Japanese patients exist. But that doesn’t automatically mean reception is comfortable holding a conversation in English or that forms come in anything other than Japanese. Realistically, you should come prepared with a translation app and your key medical vocabulary written out. If you have a Japanese-speaking friend who can call ahead, even better.

This is a neighborhood clinic, not an international health center. The vibe is local and practical. Good for routine care if you live or work in the Kita area.
