Kodama Shika
Kodama Shika sits in a residential office building in Nishi-Gotanda, a quiet pocket of Shinagawa that most expats walk past on the way to somewhere else. The clinic has an English-language website, which is a decent sign — at minimum someone thought about international patients enough to put one together. That said, having a website in English and having staff who can comfortably discuss your treatment plan in English are two different things. The site covers standard dental services: checkups, cleanings, fillings, whitening, implants. Nothing exotic, nothing missing. It’s a small neighborhood clinic, not a foreigner-focused dental chain. If your Japanese is functional or you’re comfortable pointing at things on a screen, you’ll probably be fine. If you need fluent back-and-forth in English, call ahead and test the waters before booking. Gotanda Station is a short walk away, which makes access easy from most parts of central Tokyo.
Patient Feedback
Patient feedback is limited in English-language sources, which is pretty typical for smaller neighborhood clinics in Tokyo. The clinic appears to attract local regulars rather than a large expat patient base. The setup is straightforward — small, quiet, no frills. Patients looking for a no-nonsense dental visit near Gotanda Station seem to leave without complaints. Don’t expect a slick international-clinic experience; expect a competent local dentist doing competent local dentist things.
