Kodama Shika

Kodama Shika sits in the Gotanda area of Shinagawa, tucked into a residential building on the west side of the station. It’s a general dental clinic handling the usual range — cleanings, fillings, crowns, implants, and orthodontics. The website has some English content, which suggests they’ve thought about international patients at least a little. That said, “some English on the website” doesn’t automatically mean fluent English-speaking staff waiting to greet you. Calling ahead to gauge the language situation is genuinely worth doing before you book. The clinic is small and privately run, which tends to mean more continuity with the same dentist rather than a rotating roster. Gotanda is well-connected — JR Yamanote Line and Tokyu Ikegami Line both stop there — so access from most parts of Tokyo is straightforward. If you’re in Shinagawa, Meguro, or Ota ward and need a dentist that at least has English-facing materials, this is a reasonable starting point.
