Kajio Ganka is a neighborhood ophthalmology clinic in Koganei City, out in the western suburbs of Tokyo along the Chuo Line corridor. It handles the standard range of eye care — vision checks, glaucoma screening, dry eye, cataracts, and general eye conditions. The clinic has some English content on its website, which is a decent sign, but that doesn’t automatically mean you’ll walk in and have a smooth English conversation at the front desk. Koganei is a quieter residential area, not an expat hub, so don’t expect the multilingual infrastructure you’d find at a clinic in Shinjuku or Minami-Aoyama. That said, smaller local clinics like this often have shorter waits and more attentive appointments than the big hospital outpatient departments.
