Izumi Clinic is a general internal medicine practice run under the Fujisen medical corporation in Hachioji, the sprawling city at Tokyo’s western edge. It handles the everyday stuff — chronic conditions, checkups, colds that won’t quit, lifestyle disease management. Think neighborhood doctor, not hospital system.

The website has some English-language content, which is a promising sign, but don’t take that as a guarantee of smooth English consultation. Hachioji is far enough from central Tokyo that you’re unlikely to find the international-clinic infrastructure you’d get in Shinjuku or Minato. That said, plenty of expats live out this way, and a clinic that bothers with English online has at least thought about non-Japanese patients.

Come prepared with your symptoms written down or translated. A translation app will help at reception. This is a practical local clinic — good for ongoing care if you’re based in western Tokyo, less convenient if you’re commuting from the city center just for a checkup.
