Ichikawa Shikaiin

Ichikawa Shikaiin is a neighborhood dental clinic tucked into Senju, one of Adachi’s most walkable old-town areas in northeast Tokyo. It’s a general dentistry practice — cleanings, fillings, crowns, the usual — nothing exotic, but solid everyday dental care for people living in the area.

The clinic has some English content on their website, which is a decent sign, but don’t show up expecting a fully bilingual experience. This is a local Japanese clinic first. If your Japanese is limited, bring a translation app or a Japanese-speaking friend for anything beyond pointing at a tooth and saying “itai.” For straightforward procedures, patients have managed fine. For complex treatment discussions, prepare ahead.

Senju is well-connected — easy access from Kita-Senju Station on multiple lines — so getting here isn’t the pain point. The uncertainty is how much English support you’ll actually get at the desk. Worth calling ahead to test the waters before booking.
