Goto Ganka is an ophthalmology clinic on the 8th floor of the Intz Nakano Building, a short walk from Nakano Station. They handle the full range of eye care — vision checks, glaucoma screening, dry eye treatment, and more. The clinic has some English-language content on their website, which is a decent sign, but whether that translates to English-speaking staff at reception is genuinely unclear. Don’t assume someone will be waiting to greet you in fluent English. That said, ophthalmology appointments tend to be fairly manageable with a translation app — the equipment does a lot of the communicating for you. If your issue is straightforward, you’ll likely get through it fine. For anything complicated, bring a Japanese-speaking friend or use a medical interpreter service. Being on the 8th floor means it’s not immediately visible from street level — look for the building directory when you enter.
