Fuse Shikaiin
Fuse Shikaiin is a dental clinic on the second floor of the Clair Kojima Building in Chofu, a residential part of western Tokyo that doesn’t see a ton of foreign foot traffic. The clinic covers general dentistry — cleanings, fillings, extractions, the usual — and has been operating in this neighborhood for years.
The website has some English content, which is a decent sign, but that doesn’t guarantee you’ll walk in and get a fully English-speaking experience. Chofu isn’t Roppongi. Reception likely has limited English, so bring a translation app or a Japanese-speaking friend if your dental vocabulary isn’t up to scratch. That said, dentistry is often easier to navigate with a language barrier than, say, a GP visit — you’re pointing at teeth, not describing symptoms.
If you’re living in or around Chofu, Fuchu, or Mitaka, this is a convenient local option. Don’t expect an international clinic setup, but don’t expect chaos either.
