Fujimidai Eye Clinic is a small neighborhood ophthalmology practice tucked into the ground floor of a residential mansion building in Nerima’s Kanui area. It’s the kind of local eye clinic that serves the surrounding community — think routine eye exams, glasses and contact lens prescriptions, and common conditions like dry eye, glaucoma screening, and cataracts.

The website has some English content, which is a decent sign, but don’t book expecting a fully bilingual experience. Reception staff English ability is unconfirmed, so bring a translation app or a Japanese-speaking friend if your Japanese is nonexistent. That said, eye exams involve a lot of pointing at charts and equipment-guided testing — the language barrier is more manageable here than at, say, a psychiatry clinic.

Nerima isn’t a central expat hub, so if you’re traveling far, call ahead first. If you live in the area and need a local eye doctor, this is a reasonable first stop.
