EGI Eye Senkawa Clinic sits on the second floor of the Pipotto Senkawa building in Chofu — a suburban Tokyo neighborhood that’s well connected but not exactly central. This is a dedicated ophthalmology clinic run under the Jishunkai medical corporation, so they’re focused entirely on eyes: exams, prescriptions, surgery consultations, that kind of thing.

Their website has some English content, which is a decent sign, but don’t assume you’ll walk in and have a fully English conversation at reception. Bring a translation app as backup. Japanese nationals make up the clear majority of their patient base, so the workflow and forms are built around Japanese speakers. That said, eye clinics generally involve a lot of equipment-based diagnostics where language matters less — the machines do a lot of the talking.

If you’re in the Senkawa or Chofu area and need an eye checkup, prescription glasses referral, or want something checked out properly, this is a solid local option. Just go prepared, not expecting an international clinic experience.
