Asou Syounikaiin
Asou Syounikaiin is a pediatric clinic tucked into the second floor of the Daisanki Yoshino Building in Nishi-Kasai, Edogawa — a neighborhood with a notably large Indian expat community, so the area itself is more internationally aware than many Tokyo suburbs. The clinic focuses entirely on kids, which means the doctors here are used to anxious parents and small patients who won’t sit still.
The website has some English-facing content, which suggests awareness of foreign patients, but don’t assume you’ll walk in and have a smooth English conversation at the front desk. Reality is probably closer to basic communication plus a lot of pointing and translation apps. If your child is sick and you’re in Edogawa, this is a legitimate local option — just come prepared with a translation app, your insurance card, and your child’s health record if you have it.
Not a fancy international clinic. A real neighborhood pediatrician doing real work.
Patient Feedback
Patient feedback points to a straightforward neighborhood clinic experience — shorter waits than larger hospitals, a doctor who takes time to explain what’s going on, and a no-fuss environment. Parents in the area seem to use it as a reliable first stop for common childhood illnesses. Don’t expect a polished international feel. Do expect a pediatrician who knows their stuff and a staff that’s used to seeing families from the local community.
