Aoi Clinic

Aoi Clinic is a small internal medicine clinic tucked into a low-rise office building in Sakuradai, Nerima — a quieter residential part of northwest Tokyo that most expats don’t end up in unless they actually live there. It handles the everyday stuff: colds, checkups, chronic condition management, referrals. The clinic has some English content on its website, which is a decent sign, but whether that translates to a smooth English-speaking visit in person is genuinely unclear. Nerima isn’t a high-expat-density area, so don’t expect the kind of international-patient infrastructure you’d find in Hiroo or Shinjuku. That said, for expats living locally, having a neighborhood internal medicine clinic within walking distance of Sakuradai Station is genuinely useful. Come with your insurance card, some Japanese prep or a translation app, and realistic expectations.
