iryouhoujinsyadan yusijinkai saito shikaiin
Saito Dental is a general dentistry clinic tucked into the ground floor of the Delight Court building in Edagawa, Koto Ward — a residential pocket of eastern Tokyo that most expats don’t end up in by accident. If you’re living in the area, this is your local dentist. They cover the standard range: cleanings, fillings, crowns, extractions.
Their website has some English-language content, which suggests they’ve at least thought about international patients. But “website has English” and “you can comfortably describe your toothache in English” are different things. Walk-in without any Japanese ability and you may hit a wall at reception. If you can use a translation app or bring a Japanese-speaking friend for your first visit, you’ll probably be fine. Ongoing treatment is doable once they understand your situation.
Koto Ward is well-connected but Edagawa specifically is quiet — check access before you go, since it’s not directly on a major station line.
Patient Feedback
Patient feedback points to a thorough, unhurried approach — the kind of dentist who actually explains what they’re doing before drilling. Wait times appear reasonable for a neighborhood clinic. The environment is small and unfussy, not a flashy chain. Local patients seem to return consistently, which usually means something. Not much data from English-speaking patients specifically, so expect some communication effort on your part.
English Language Proficiency
For translating forms, prescriptions, or discharge summaries, Jozu is worth having on your phone.
