Fujisawa Hifuka
Fujisawa Hifuka is a dermatology clinic on the second floor of the Aoki Building in Higashi-Oizumi, Nerima. It’s a straightforward neighborhood skin clinic — the kind of place locals go for eczema, acne, rashes, and general skin concerns rather than cosmetic procedures.
The clinic’s website has some English content, which suggests at least some awareness of non-Japanese patients. But “English content on the website” and “English-speaking staff at the front desk” are two very different things. In reality, full English support here is unconfirmed. If your Japanese is limited, bring a translation app or a Japanese-speaking friend for anything beyond pointing at your rash and saying “itai.”
Nerima isn’t a typical expat hub, so this clinic probably sees more Japanese locals than foreign patients. That said, dermatology appointments are relatively manageable with minimal language — you can show the problem, point at a body diagram, and get through it. Just don’t expect an English-language consultation.
Good option if you live in western Nerima and need a local dermatologist. Not the place to travel across Tokyo for.
Patient Feedback
Patient feedback specific to this clinic is limited online, especially in English. As a small neighborhood dermatology practice in Nerima, expect a typical Japanese clinic experience — numbered ticket system, possible wait even with an appointment, and a consultation that runs efficient rather than leisurely. Doctors at clinics like this tend to be thorough on diagnosis but brief on explanation. Don’t expect a long back-and-forth chat about your condition.
English Language Proficiency
For translating forms, prescriptions, or discharge summaries, Jozu is worth having on your phone.
