Ayase Jyosei Clinic
Ayase Jyosei Clinic is a women’s-only gynecology clinic tucked into the first floor of a small office building in Ayase, Adachi — one of Tokyo’s more residential, less tourist-trodden wards. The clinic covers standard gynecology: irregular periods, contraception, STI testing, menopause, and pelvic concerns.
The website has some English content, which suggests they’ve thought about non-Japanese patients at least a little. But “some English online” doesn’t automatically mean the front desk is ready for a full conversation in English. If your Japanese is limited, bring a translation app or a bilingual friend — especially for anything nuanced like symptom history or medication questions. Google Translate will get you through the basics; it won’t get you through a detailed consultation.
Adachi isn’t central, but Ayase Station (Chiyoda Line and JR Joban Line) is close, making it reachable from Ueno or Akihabara in under 20 minutes. If you live on the east side of Tokyo, this is genuinely convenient.
Patient Feedback
Patient feedback points to a calm, unhurried atmosphere — rare for a Tokyo clinic. Doctors are reported to be thorough and non-dismissive, which matters a lot in gynecology. Wait times appear reasonable compared to larger hospital outpatient departments. The clinic’s smaller size means you’re not lost in a crowd. No strong pattern of complaints about communication, but non-Japanese speakers haven’t left much public feedback, so that part of the picture is thin.
English Language Proficiency
For translating forms, prescriptions, or discharge summaries, Jozu is worth having on your phone.
